• While this device is listed as a simple expansion card, it is actually a fully functional independent PLC with its own onboard core processor. And as such, it can be independently programmed to perform its own tasks, routines, and programs. Once these tasks are completed, it can then report the results of these tasks back to the master PLC via the Modbus expansion daisy chain network. Alternatively, this device can be used as a stand-alone PLC, with a core functionality of 16 digital inputs and 16 digital outputs, while further expansion I/O or sensors can be added via the dedicated Modbus RS-485 port.
